Chinese New Year's over and I'm glad it's over because school will be starting again. However, I'm also sad that it's over because I enjoyed my break. I spent most of my break at my grandparent's which is located at Tainan.
So, this is my break: My whole family including my parents, my brothers and me, went back to Tainan on Saturday. We arrived at 9 in the morning since there's no traffic at all. On the car ride, my brother's turtle came out of it's temporary cage and it's roaming free inside the car. Later, I spotted it and my brother picked it up and changed containers after we've arrived. Then, I spend my time there, exploring the yard once more, play soccer, roller blade and ride the bike around the yard, and of course, play piano and violin. There is a piano there as well...The weather is awfully nice, much warmer than Hsinchu. Then at night, I played poker cards, Bridge to be specific, with my family. Then, we watched a movie and the day ended like that. The next day, I spent the morning practicing piano and violin so I can have a free afternoon. After lunch, my mother decided to go shopping and my brothers and I decided to go with her. We bought some clothing for my brothers and me as well as my grandmother. When we came back from shopping, my father told us three kids to go into the yard and saw some trees that are leaning against the wall because if the tree grew bigger, the wall would collapse. The sawing was fun! After sawing the trees, my father use some spare parts to make a walking stick for my grandparent and my oldest brother picked a Y shaped branch to make a slingshot and Ben picked a really straight and thick but short stick. I looked at it and thought that it would make a good baseball bat even though it's a bit too heavy and we played baseball with that for some time. That's the special parts on Sunday. Then, on Monday, my family not including my grandparents went to the graveyard to clean the tombs and stuff. I like going there to clean. I enjoyed it the most last last year. Every year, when we clean the tombs, we need to burn the paper and last last year, the fire is so huge since the grass is very very dry, that the firetruck came. Pretty interesting but also very dangerous! Cleaning the tomb part is the most exciting thing on Monday otherwise, it's a normal Tainan day. On Tuesday, my family on my father's side including me, my brothers, my parents, my grandparents, my father's three sisters and their husbands and their children (6 children in total) went and ate lunch together. It's pretty interesting and I get red envelops even though I usually give it to my parents. We had fun all together. At night, my grandparents and my family went back home and my brothers decided to run around the yard for some time. I joined them. I ran for a short time and I can't do it anymore. I'm too tired. I can't keep running for long distances. My brothers ran for 15 minutes!...The next day is Wednesday. On Wednesday, nothing much happened. In the afternoon, my parents, my brothers and me went to the tempo where we prayed a little and then, my brothers played basketball while I roller blade around the court. At night, Ben and I decided to run again. This time, I ran for 3 minutes (I remembered to measure the time). And in those 3 minutes, I ran 12 laps. And by the way, each lap around the yard is 64 meters. My brother set a goal of 50 laps and he ran for 16 minutes. I am such a goalless person. Haha. When I set a goal that's out of my limit but I'm trying to achieve it, I mostly won't get succeed in achieving the goal. However, my brother will. *Sigh...Then, we watched a movie like every day else. On Thursday, my brother had to go to an interview in some place near Kaoshung. So, my whole family went to Kaoshung and we had fun there. We went to a market and bought a lot of seafood stuff. It's fun. We came back at about 5 or 6 and I decided to run again. However, this time, there's only me. I achieved my best score of 14 laps in 4 minutes. Which means that I ran 896 meters in 4 minutes. I don't know whether that's good or not but I know that I'm exhausted. Then, on Friday, it's time to head back home. We spent the time packing until lunch which we ate there, and we drove home.
Life back home in Hsinchu is again, boring...because there's no surprises. Haha...It's the same old everyday schedule....Well, now that school's about to start, I'm happy but also sad that break's over but mostly, I am happy because I had a good break.
