Guess what? We caught the rat in our mouse trap. Today morning, when I woke up, I walked downstairs and my father asked me something in Chinese about guess what happened. I said we caught the rat and I was right! It was the scariest thing ever! The rat was still alive but half of the body was stuck to the board and it looked as if it could climb up any second. Anyways, that was the answer to my blogs from several days ago.
Now, this is my answer for my other blog. Today, our science test score came back. I felt pretty happy about my score until I saw Joseph's. Joseph got higher than 100 from the bonuses. Sad Face. Then, I saw Sean's test score. He also got higher than 100 from the bonuses but he's test score is lower than Joseph's. Then, mine...so my test score compared to theirs is so low.
By the way, I asked my brother about the 30 white horses on a red hill riddle, he thought about it for a long time and I gave him no clue and in the end, he came up with the answer! He's good! Then, he ask me one in return from Mr.Dahl's class. It is something like this and he didn't give me the whole thing because he couldn't remember it: Toothless bites, wingless flutters, mouthless mutters, and something like that. I couldn't figure it out at all! It's so weird....well, I will keep trying!

October 30, 2011
Finally, today, we went to our normal badminton class. We haven't been there for a really long time because we are really busy. First, my oldest brother's getting ready to leave for college and Ben is getting ready to take the SAT and after that, we have the concert. But now, all the busy things are all over! So, after a month or so of hard work, we finally get to go to our normal badminton class routine.
Now, back to the rat attack! We haven't got any more news on the rat. However, on Friday, when I was taking a shower, I heard my parents and my brother shout and then, the sound of footsteps running across the floor so I guessed that the rat made an appearance. I am right. The rat came out of nowhere and ran close to my brother and then, ran far far away and vanished. Later on, on Saturday, nothing much happened and still, we haven't got any rat in our rat trap. However, today morning, while my mother grabbed a banana from the ground with a newspaper under it because if we leave it on the table, it will leave the white liquid bananas produce, she noticed that there's a tiny part of a banana that is chipped off. We all suspected that the rat did it. Then, we thought of a way we could catch the rat. Let's see if it works. If it does, I will write it on my journal.

Are you scared of rats? I thought I wasn't until today. Today, I came back home with my mother from my mom's office and the moment my mom stepped into the kitchen, she yelled rats! I thought that she had finally understand what rats means in English. For example, rats, I forgot to do my homework. But then, I noticed that it really was a rat. It wasn't that big but it will be growing and having babies if we don't finish it off. Months ago, during Summer Holidays, I was talking on the phone with my mom and I saw a big rat outside our yard running past. It's so scary. This time, it is a small rat inside our house! The rat sensed that it was being watched and someone was here so it ran down the kitchen wall and ran around the floor of our kitchen. My mother chased it while I stand high up on a chair. Afraid. Are you more afraid of cockroaches or rats? After today, I think I will go with rats because they are faster and smarter than cockroaches. My mom chased it around and finally, it went into a room. My mom quickly closed the door behind her. Now, she and the rat is in the room. She stayed there for some time but then, she came out, saying that she can't find the rat and that she have to cook dinner for us. My mom left the room with the door still closed. Then, I saw a faint shadow near the door through the crack. I told my mom to hurry by and that the rat was still in the room. My mom went in once again and this time, she stayed inside for a really long time but still, no rat. Then, we ate dinner with no rat bothering us. After dinner, my mother went outside to buy things that could trap or stick rats. My mom finally came home and I looked at the stuff she brought. It really is sticky. I didn't dare touch it but by the look, I can tell it is sticky. I also smelled it and gosh, it smelled a..w..e..s..o..m..e..!!! It smelled awesome! The smell reminds me of honey but the look reminds me of rats. I hope they get caught...
By the way, I normally don't do journals on Fridays but if the rat got caught, I will do it either on Friday or Saturday.

Today, during lunch, we started a discussion related to Halloween and I brought up my brother. I told her that he is so weird in a creative way. A couple years ago, he dressed up as a ghost by taking a piece of white cloth and cut two holes in it. He won a prize because of that! Then, the year after that, he dressed up as a mushroom by taking an umbrella and stick white circle papers onto the umbrella and kneel down on stage. He won a prize because of that! He sure is creative and simple and weird! I think my brothers are weird especially Ben and I think I am also weird...Ha~Ha~...I come up with all the different kinds of ideas which get my classmates and me in trouble quite often. Nevermind all that...
Today, we have science test. It sure is hard and I feel negative about it. (Sad Face). The first test, I got really close to a hundred and the second test, I got higher than a hundred percent....and if I get a 90% or something close, I will feel as if it is not that good because all the other tests are so high.
Tomorrow is Halloween. I wish that we have Halloween for the whole day or we don't have Halloween at all. I don't like Halloween so I would rather have a normal school day. Plus, Thursday, we have clubs! But since we are having Halloween, I wish it could be the whole day so we don't have to have any homework and school.
TRICK~O~TREAT, SMELL MY FEET~GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT~IF YOU DON'T, I DON'T CARE, CAUSE I CAN SEE YOUR UNDERWEAR......That was a chant we learned long time ago like in kindergarten.

October 25, 2011
Out of all the days throughout the week, I like these days the best: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Do you know why? It is because on those days, I get to exercise. On Tuesdays and Fridays, we have P.E., and on Thursdays, I have clubs, which I joined sport. Today, we played volleyball and me and Howard's team lost totally. I do not want to loose the game on Friday because it will be the last day playing volleyball throughout the whole year and it will be counted as our midterm. I hope we do good on that day.
Today, at night, the DVDs of my brother's concert came and we watched the whole show over again. That was fun but it took all my time away. I realized that I get addicted to two kind of games and the television. Each day from Monday to Friday, from 7 to 8 o'clock pm, there are two Japanese animation show that I like to watch. The first one is HunterXHunter and the second one is The Prince of Tennis. I love Hunter X Hunter. I think it is so cool. However, it never got to finish the animations while the comic is still running. Since I was small, I started watching Hunter X Hunter. It was not because I wanted to at first but it was because I never got hold of the remote control and being five or six years younger than my brothers, it was impossible to get the remote! Without fighting with them, I just watch Hunter X Hunter with them. It is really cool. Out of the four main characters, I posted a picture of them below, I like the person with grayish white hair. He was born from a family of killers and every single person in his family is a killer. But then, he attended a competition where he met another kid. Spending his time with that kid, he found that it was happier spending time with his family and the story continues. The other animation is The Prince of Tennis, which I like but not as much as Hunter X Hunter.
I also think I am kind of addicted to two games on the internet. The first one is Tetris. Since I don't have a facebook account, I play Tetris in www.tetrisfriends.com. The other game is in armorgames.com. I mentioned about it yesterday. It really is fun.

Today, while I am typing my journal post, wondering what I am going to type, my brother asked me whether anyone commented on my journal before. I asked him why and he told me to come over and check his out. Somebody called Nerd commented on his journal but we don't know why that person is. Isn't it interesting? Well, never mind about that .
These days, I am playing a really interesting game. It is like bacteria inside a person and you have different players and they conquer each cell and it's really hard and fun. Yesterday, I played it with Joseph, Samuel, myself, and my brother. We fought each other. I hate to invade into my brother's territory because once he spotted someone bothering him, conquering his land, he will fight back until you lost the game. I never came in first in that game. Most of the time, I came in second or last. That game is kind of cool. The name of that game is Phage Wars Live.
Another thing that happened today during music is that, I got elected to be a person visiting Africa for a play we are going to perform on Christmas. Samuel got elected as the African Santa, Howard got elected as the script writer, Vivian got elected as the music person, and Dylan got elected as the narrator. Last of all, Sean is in charge of being the director and stuff because he won us by rock paper scissor shoot against Sam and me. Not trying to be mean but I don't think he fits that job. Let's just hope nothing goes wrong.

On Saturday, my father left for Tainan and today, my mom left for Tainan because my grandpa's brother passed away. I don't know him very well but I have heard about stories about him and that's really cool! Anyways, today, me and my brother are the only ones home. Horray!!! My parents are coming home tomorrow afternoon. Normally, my father drives me and my brother and Amanda and Tiffany to school but tomorrow, Tiffany's mother will drive us to school, probably. Today, I played a game on Armor games with my brother, Joseph, and Samuel. It's so challenging! I barely win any and that's sad. I often came in second. I want to keep playing it but I feel my eyelids are getting heavier every minute so good night...by the way, I said good night at 10 but by the time I'm in bed it will be 10:30 because I didn't take a bath, brush my teeth, and wear my contacts yet.

Happy Birthday Willis and Kathy. It is such a coincidence that their birthdays are in the same day and they're classmates. Today morning, we had homeroom with Mr.Carlos in the computer lab because of the recent event from Wednesday. The sixth graders now have homeroom with Ms.Padachie, I think but I am not really sure. (I don't think they are)...I am still feeling a strange mix of emotions, sad, disappointed with myself and I still felt bad for what I've done. Not only that, alot of people know about that event. It is no longer small news. By comforting myself, I said to Sam that we're famous, in a not so good way during clubs!!! Hahahaha.
Today morning, we have the Math Olympic test stuff. I think that it is not that hard. I did 18 questions out of 29 out of those 18 questions, I guessed none. My brother took the Math Olympic test, but different version, when he was eighth grade and he got the highest score in the whole school! WHOLE SCHOOL!!! I was surprised and proud of my own brother at the same time. I was also disappointed that I am so not like my brother but at least, I have other talents.
The other event happened today is that, my brother's SAT score came out! He got 2350 out of 2400. That's really high. Derek got 2370 and my brother got 2350. My mother as well as my father is very proud of my brother.

What happened today morning is all my fault and I am really sorry for what I've done. I would never do it again. I should be the one to receive all the punishments because it was I who started it. If I wasn't there, none of this would have happen. Today morning, I was bored and sleepy so I took the empty container on Ms.Padachie's desk and started playing with the object inside it. Then, the students from Mr.Dahl's homeroom came in to her room for homeroom. Still, I played with the objects. But I play with most of them nearly everyday, so it's getting bored. Really bored. I decided to play a little joke by daring Samuel to turn on the Smartboard because I know that he wouldn't dare to turn it on. What turned out unexpected is that Samuel passed the remote control to Sean and they passed the remote control back and forth like a hot potato. Then, someone turned on the Smartboard. I am not sure who because they kept passing the remote control to each other. After someone turned the Smartboard on, the image of the desktop started turning on. Then, we tried to turn it off. First, Sean tried to turn it off but since, it didn't turn on completely yet, it didn't let us turn it off. Then, Sam tried, then finally I tried. But it still didn't work. The other people sitting by our desk started laughing probably because of our actions and Sam tried to stand up and head for the bathroom and that's when I started laughing. We were all laughing in the matter of seconds and Ms.Padachie turned and stared at us. She probably didn't know what we're laughing at. Then, she spotted the Smartboard, who is turned on. She shouted at our table and shouted who did it and told that person to get out. Samuel stood up and was ready to leave the classroom when Ms.Padachie said bring the other people who helped you with you. I stood up immediately and walked outside with Samuel. That was when I realize how much trouble I have caused because of one simple joke. I am really sorry. We stood outside and within a minute, the other people from our desk, came out. We stood there, motionless. Then, Ms.Padachie came out. She yelled at us and told us that she never want to see us nor talk to us again. She then told us to grab our belongings and head for our first period. The six of us headed for Mr.Joubert and stayed there. Then, we continued our whole day, unlike the usual because I felt bad and not in the mood of having school. When school ended, Samuel, Sean, and I decided to head for Ms.Padachie's room and say we're sorry and Eve decided to come since she felt as if she's guilty even though she isn't, or at least I think she's not. By the way, this is my point of view of what I saw and know. Then, we walked toward Ms.Padachie's room. We were ready to head in and then, when I looked back, I was the only one there. The others are far behind me...I walked over to Ms.Padachie and before I get to spit out my words of apology, she said that she don't want to hear it and told me to leave. Today, I feel a mix of emotions that are mostly negative, I felt sad, bad, miserable, guilty, sorry, and what bothers me the most is that I caused the whole thing to happen. If I didn't dare Samuel to do it, none of this will happen.
I am very sorry.
I am very sorry.

Today, something really unexpected happen. We were lining up for PE outside the front door. All was fine then. Then, Mr.Li came and told us we can head up stairs. We all head up stairs. Some went by the stair, others went by the school elevator and Samuel, Howard, Sean, and I went by the Kung-fu elevator by the far end. At first, the elevator only have Sean, Howard, and me but then, Samuel came. We pressed the second floor so the elevator would go down to second floor and we can push Samuel out of the elevator for fun (no intention of being mean). But when we reached second floor, the three of us aren't strong enough to push him off. Then, I pressed fifth floor because that elevator doesn't go to sixth floor. However, Sean pressed sixth and it actually worked! That's really weird because normally, it doesn't work. When it reached sixth floor, I held the door open for everyone to get out but since last year, Samuel and I have an elevator game. We are testing who can stay in the elevator longer while holding the elevator. So, I stayed in the elevator and Samuel stayed in the elevator. Then, I gave up because I am excited about volleyball. I went out and when I stepped out, the door of the elevator slowly closed. However, before it closed, I saw that the light inside the elevator turned dark. I walked away but then, I saw something unusual. Normally, it will say 6 outside the elevator but after the door closed, it said it's broken or something like that. We went in and told Mr.Li about the elevator. He told us to run our laps while he went and check what's the problem. On my fifth lap, Mr.Li came back and told me to head downstairs and inform the office people about it. I went down as fast as I can and told Ms. Sue. Ms.Pamela probably heard it so she came out and together, we went to the elevator. We went upstairs to sixth floor and since I'm done with my duty, I head back inside the basketball court and wished nothing happened to Samuel. We started playing volleyball while Samuel is stuck alone in the elevator. However, when we are ready to get started with the game, Samuel came back. Three smiley faces for Samuel. :) :) :) . I was glad no one was hurt. However, I still wonder why the elevator went up to sixth floor now.

Do you like Halloween? I absolutely dislike it. It stinks so badly. Every year, we have to dress up as something and I have been dressing up for close to 7 years, maybe. Let me count. Kindergarten times 3, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade. Oh My God! Counting this year, I would have dressed up for 10 years. I don't remember what I dressed up when I am pre-k. But I do remember what I dressed up for the third year of kindergarten. I think I dressed up as a cartoon character that doesn't even look like her. That year's Halloween was awesome, since I was small. According to my memory, I remember going upstairs with the class to the second floor in HIS and we walked into a room and there are mummies lying on tables, but in fact, they are real people. And guess what? They grabbed our feet. That was so scary since I was only kindergarten. I remember what Howard dressed up for Halloween that year. It was really cool. In Monster Inc., there is a little girl who wore a purple outfit. I remember Howard dressing up as that. I dislike Halloween because I have to come up of what to wear every year. I remember I once dressed up as a really cool robot and I thought I would won the prize but I did not. However, my brother dressed up as a mushroom, a person holding an umbrella with white paper as dots while bending down, won a prize. I took such a long time making that really cool robot and my brother took like five minutes and he won a prize. (shake head). The other reason I dislike Halloween is because I don't get as much candies now that I am no longer elementary or kindergarten. During kindergarten to second grade, I got super much candies that could probably last for a month! But nowadays, I get enough candies to last less than one day. I wish we could skip Halloween.
After typing about the Halloween stuff, something really funny happened so I decided to edit my journal and to type more about it. Four of our house's light bulb died out. My father brought the broken sample to the store far far away to my house. Suddenly, he came back and told us that he didn't bring any money to buy a light bulb. Now, he's going out again because he didn't bring any money. I am laughing so hardly that my stomach hurts.

The day before yesterday, Friday, was my brother's concert. It was fabulous! Today, we played all the play backs from our video camera and it sounded great!!! It really was awesome! Out of all the pieces, my brother explained about the pieces in his journal, I liked the duet the best. My brother played the viola while the conductor of the orchestra played the violin. They played the Passacaglia. Go listen to it on YouTube. It really is hard! Even though it's hard, they played really well! Not only did I like that song, I also liked the Libertango, composed by Astor Piazzolla, played by the quartet and Passacaglia and Hong Dou, a chinese pop song.
This is the Passacaglia song, instead that it is played by Julia Fisher with the violin and another guy with the cello. My brother's version is the composer with the violin and my brother with the viola. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNsxXued784
This is the Libertango song composed by Astor Piazzolla. This includes alot of instruments but my brother played it with a quartet, a music group of four people. A first violin, a second violin, a viola, and a cello. One of the top students of my violin teacher played the first violin, my oldest brother played the second violin, Ben played the viola and my oldest brother's friend played the cello. In this following link, it have way more instruments. It sounds better in the video because of all those instruments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUAPf_ccobc

Today is a wonderful day. After two weeks, my oldest brother came back from the south and my dad came back from China. Now, we are back to five humans in our big empty house. My dad, my mom, my oldest brother, my second brother, and me! My brother came back today on Thursday because tomorrow, is my brother's concert and my oldest brother is playing as the second violin for the quartet and second violin for the orchestra. It's a happy day where all my family members are back home. Tomorrow, it's the big show for my brother after a super long time of practicing. I hope everything goes well. I hope he doesn't make any mistakes that everyone could spot. Well, we'll see about that tomorrow at 7:30.
By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS.PADACHIE

Do you think that talent can be inherited? I don't think it can be. I think that each person have a unique talent from their family members as well as other people. Of course, it will be overlapped now and again but I think a person's talent can not be inherited. What do you think? I am wondering about this question because my mom is a piano teacher and I learned piano and violin since I was young but to tell the truth, I suck really much at it. It is either because I have no talent or because I don't have the passion for music as much as other people. My mom might have the talent or passion, but that doesn't make me have them. I don't inherit passion and talents from my parents. Well, at least I don't think I do.
The other question that came to mind is a question that Howard once asked me. What will you learn if you can choose three things to be really good at. What will you choose? For now, I think I would choose I want to learn how to fence (fencing), learn karate or kongfu, and running. When I am small up till now, I am always fascinated when I see arrows and bows but most of all, when I see swords and shields. I once bought a toy sword for Halloween but it's toy but I had a lot of fun with it. I use the sword while either my dad or my brother use the sword's cover and we fight each other. The winner wins by using his sword to touch the other person's knee below. It's really fun and I am pretty good at it. I want to learn karate or kongfu because that way, when my brother grasp hold of my hand, I will know how to defend myself and I would no longer be under his control. (EVIL SMILE). I also want to run. Sometimes, at my house, sitting down by the table, having nothing to day, I would feel like running but my mom probably won't let me because of several reasons.
Today, I really got some crazy questions in me. Don't I?

Guess what? My dad's going to China for a business trip tomorrow and he will make it back just in time for my brother's concert. I like it when my father leaves for China because he always buys a lot of legal DVDs for us to watch. For example, on his last trip, he bought a huge amount of DVDs such as The Tourists, Toy Story 3, Tron, Iron Man 2 and a lot more! It's really awesome. I hope he would buy a couple more. However, he probably won't buy as much because he's only going for two days and a night. I also like it when my father goes to America because I could give him a whole list of books of what I want to buy and he would normally find a couple books on that list and bring it back to Taiwan. However, I dislike one point when my father travels. My mom is going to drive us to school. I prefer my father to drive us to school because when my mom drives us to school, we get to school later than before. Hehe. You probably know what that means.

Happy Birthday Taiwan!!! Today, I spent my morning as well as my afternoon at Eve's Dad's company. We are working on a Spanish project. I really dislike doing projects at people's house because we barely get things done . I once worked at a friend's house on a really simple project, thinking that we have all the time there is to accomplish the project, we worked way slower than expected. By the time I have to leave, the project is not done yet. By working at people's house at a project, we have no time limit to tell us how long we have to finish this project, so most people will take a long time. Nevertheless, we completed the project. I didn't enjoy working on the project, however, I enjoyed playing foosball. It is so awesome! Since I was little, I have always been wanting a foosball table kind of stuff. It is so fun! I begged my father all the time, but I never got one. (Sad Face). Today, after playing with Eve and her family, I went home and begged my father for a foosball table, once more. I thought of all the possibilities of getting a foolsball table as soon as possible. The music competition ccame into my mind! If I manage to get some kind of place, it's really likely that I can get rewarded but probably not a foosball table. Well, who knows. Even though I have came with an idea of how to get a foosball table, getting it is the hard part. Getting first, second, third, fourth, or either fifth in a competition out of 66 people and 37 people is tough! Well, let's hope it works! If I get a foosball table, come play!!!

Today was such a busy day. My oldest brother, Sam Lee, is still in college down south. My dad is in Tainan because of some family issues, leaving me, my brother, and my mom at home. My brother and my mother woke up early in the morning while I continued sleeping. They woke up early because Ben have to head toward Taipei for rehearsal with the piano for the concert. Then, at about 11, my dad came back from Tainan and the four of us, including Daniel Shieh headed toward Taipei as well because the two of us are in the orchestra performing in the concert.
We started practicing at one o'clock and then, practiced all the way to 4 or 5 in the afternoon. That really was tiring! Well, if I count that tiring, I wonder what Ben feels after a whole day of practicing. Just so you know, it sounds really good and I hope all of you could go! It would be a pleasure if you could go.
